On 2 September Flightglobal.com’s sister premium news source (ATI) reported that the UK tour operator XL Leisure Group is insisting that a refinancing effort being undertaken by the company is not affecting its operations, and is unrelated to a decision to withdraw a batch of long-haul services this winter.

And on 10 September ATI reported that Icelandic transport and logistics firm Eimskipafelag Islands (Eimskip) is warning that there is an increasing possibility that it will have to meet loan obligations for travel company XL Leisure Group.
