Troubled UK regional airline FlyWhoosh’s hopes for a quick restoration of its suspended services appear to be receding after plans to replace its flight provider fell through.

FlyWhoosh had been offering domestic connections from Dundee in Scotland to Birmingham and Belfast before its operator, Poland’s White Eagle Aviation, opted to discontinue its services about a week ago.

While FlyWhoosh had been in talks with another carrier with a view to resuming flights on 17 December, it says poor publicity has prompted this carrier to shelve the plan.

“Due to the sustained bad press afforded to the suspension of flights from Dundee and the consequent collapse of customer confidence, the flight operator planning to replace White Eagle on its routes has now decided to withdraw from the opportunity at this time,” says FlyWhoosh.
