Alp yourself … ski flights discounts are offered by Swiss

Flag-carrier of Switzerland Swiss International Air Lines is offering a raft of ski-friendly discounts, it has been announced today.

Return flights to Swiss airports providing access to the Alps, one of the world’s foremost winter sports regions, are subject to significant savings in the promotion.

From London City Airport, flights to Basel are available from £80, Geneva from £103, Zurich from £116 and Lugano from £149.

Meanwhile, from London Heathrow Airport, flights to Geneva start at £102, Zurich at £115 and Lugano at £148.

Manchester departures also feature: flights to Zurich are available from £133, Lugano from £129, Geneva from £90 and Basel from £79.

Savings may also be found on flights from Birmingham Airport. Fares for Zurich start at £134, Geneva from £136, Basel from £159 and Lugano from £172.

The fares quoted include taxes and surcharges. Unlike many carriers, Swiss also offers free carriage of ski and snowboarding equipment.
