Norwegian Air Shuttle is promising to “illuminate the winter” with its New Year bargains. The budget airline’s sale is in full swing with flights from £25 one way with taxes. The travel window extends until 14 April.

Norwegian flies from London Gatwick and Edinburgh to destinations around Scandinavia. From Gatwick there are flights to Denmark (Aalborg and Copenhagen), Norway (Bergen, Oslo, Stavanger, Tromso and Trondheim) and Sweden (Stockholm).

The airline also flies from Edinburgh to Denmark (Copenhagen), Norway (Oslo) and Sweden (Stockholm).

Cheapflights.co.uk searched for flights to Oslo at the end of January, departing on Tuesday, 25 January, and returning on Thursday, 27 January, and found a return fare for £58 including taxes but carrying just one piece of cabin baggage (up to 10kg) and paying by debit card. Credit-card fees are about £4.
