Middle Eastern consultants linked to proposed United Arab Emirates all-premium carrier ArabJet have been in talks with the administrators of UK all-business operation Silverjet.

Silverjet had been serving Dubai before a liquidity crisis forced the London Luton-based airline to stop flights on 30 May.

ArabJet was put forward in 2004 as a potential all-business carrier serving short-haul routes in the Gulf region from Dubai, which aimed to combine a low cost base with a premium on-board product.

The Dubai-based company AJ Management Consulting, which has ties to ArabJet, says it has “had discussions” with Silverjet administrator Begbies Traynor but is unable to disclose any further details about its plans.
