German carrier Lufthansa is offering a selection of cheap winter flights to Europe, it has been announced today.

The discount fares, available until Sunday, are for travel between December this year and February 2011. Departures are offered from 1 December to 28 February, and returns from 5 December to 31 May.

Destinations across Europe feature in the sale, with Economy Class return flights to Warsaw, Athens, Bologna, Bari, Florence, Genoa, Naples, Palermo, Rome, Toulouse, Turin, Venice and Verona  available from just £129.

Flights departing from London Heathrow, Manchester, Birmingham and Edinburgh are offered in the sale. Connections via airports such as Dusseldorf, Munich, Berlin and Frankfurt may be required.

Fares must be booked a minimum of 21 days in advance of departure, and minimum and maximum stays of one Saturday night and three months respectively apply.
