Iran Air Fokker 100 suffered serious fire in Tehran accident
Images from the scene of last week’s Iran Air Fokker 100 accident at Tehran Mehrabad Airport show that the aircraft’s left wing and fuselage surface were destroyed by fire.
The aircraft was a 17-year old example, registered EP-IDB, which was owned by the airline.
It suffered the accident while departing on a domestic service to Shiraz on 2 January. Images show that the aircraft came to rest on the underside of its fuselage with its left wing blazing fiercely.
