Injuries reported after Air Canada emergency landing
An Air Canada Airbus A319 en route from Victoria to Toronto made an emergency landing at Calgary today, and “some injuries requiring hospitalization” have been confirmed.
The aircraft, operating as flight AC190, was carrying 83 passengers and five crewmembers. These figures are subject to confirmation, as are the number of people injured, says Air Canada in a brief statement.
The carrier has not disclosed what caused the injuries. It says the aircraft landed this morning “without incident”.
“Air Canada teams have met the passengers and further details will be provided through additional statements as soon as possible,” adds the carrier.
