Horizon considers dropping CRJ for Q400

Horizon Air, the sister company to Alaska Airlines, is evaluating whether to drop the Bombardier CRJ-700 from its fleet in favor of the Bombardier Q400.

Horizon is already retiring Q200s in favor of the Q400s. The airline has 20 CRJ700s, 16 Q200s and 36 Q400s.

The information was revealed on the Alaska Air Group earnings call 24 January.
