Gatwick Airport closed due to snow, cancellations elsewhere
Snow joke … the wintry weather has closed airports and delayed flights
As of 8pm (Wednesday, 1 December) the following airports are closed due to the wintry conditions. Passengers are advised to check with their airline before leaving the house.
Management at Gatwick Airport say the runway will remain closed until at least 10am tomorrow (Thursday, 2 December). www.gatwickairport.com
The airport’s Twitter feed advises passengers not to come to the airport and to check the web for further information.
Dublin Airport recommenced flights this evening at 6:46pm. www.dublinairport.com
London City Airport bosses say the runway is operational, however some flights have been cancelled. Those due to fly today from the airport should contact their carrier for more information. www.londoncityairport.com
London Heathrow Airport is open, with most flights operating but some subject to cancellations or delays. www.heathrowairport.com
