Garuda seeking partner for pilot training school

Garuda Indonesia is seeking a partner to help it establish a flying school to help it meet growing demand for aircrew.

The state-owned carrier says on its website that it is “soliciting expressions of interest from reputable companies to build a flying school in Indonesia” in “joint co-operation” with it.

Garuda adds that interested parties should submit expressions of interest by 4 February.

The Indonesian national carrier said in September that it was considering setting up a cadet pilot training school in joint-venture partnership with foreign or local companies and the call for expressions of interest takes the plan an important step forward.
