Latest casualty estimates from Madrid are putting the death toll from today’s Boeing MD-82 accident at more than 100.

The toll was earlier put at around 45 but latest indications point to a much higher number.

Some reports, citing emergency services personnel, even suggest only a couple of dozen occupants survived the crash.
