EU updates air services pact with Australia
Australia has become the latest country to sign a horizontal air services agreement with the European Union which removes nationality restrictions between Australia and EU member states.
The agreement, one of a series which the EU has signed with third countries, brings the bilateral agreements into line with European law.
EU horizontal agreements have been negotiated with more than 30 countries. The EU is discussing a broader aviation agreement with Australia which would further open the markets between the two sides.
