Malaysia … via Facebook

Travellers heading for Malaysia aboard Malaysia Airlines can now check-in via social networking site Facebook.

The airline has launched a new Facebook Platform application, Mhbuddy, which can be reached through the new Malaysia Airlines Facebook page at www.facebook.com/malaysiaairlines.

Users can book and check-in for a flight, while sharing details of their trip and chatting about travel tips with other Facebook friends and users.

Dr Amin Khan, Malaysia Airlines executive VP commercial strategy, said, “With MHbuddy, customers who book a flight are reminded of their friends who live at the destination they are headed for.

“They are also prompted if any of their friends on the Facebook network are also planning to travel to the same destination. If they like, they can also share their itinerary with friends,” he added.

Travellers can also select their seats, and view seats of friends travelling on the same flight.
