British Airways firms 787 order
Oneworld carrier British Airways (BA) has firmed up its order for 24 Boeing 787-8/9s.
BA initially announced its selection of the 787 as part of its long-haul fleet renewal in September. It also selected Rolls-Royce Trent 1000 engines to power the aircraft.
The carrier has now firmed an order for eight Boeing 787-8s and 16 Boeing 787-9s. BA has also taken options on 18 more of the type and purchase rights on another ten.
It takes firm orders for the Boeing 787 to 790.
