Short-haul carrier bmibaby has revealed a new Christmas market-themed promotion in which it is selling cheap one-way fares for several destinations in Scotland and continental Europe.

The sale, which offers fares for travel until 26th March 2011, covers destinations where Christmas markets and other Yuletide events are planned.

Among German destinations, flights to Munich from Cardiff and East Midlands airports offered in the sale start at £24.99, as do flights to Cologne from East Midlands.

Cheap flights to Paris from the midlands airport are also offered, with fares starting at as little as £14.99. Prague fares from £35.99 are also offered, for departures from Birmingham, East Midlands, and Manchester airports.

Those departing from Scotland may also find savings: flights to Edinburgh or Glasgow from East Midlands and Cardiff are offered from just £9.99.

Debit and credit card bookings are subject to processing fees of £3 and £4.50 per passenger, per one way flight respectively. Minimum fees of £4 for debit and £6.50 for credit also apply. Visa Electron payments are exempt from these charges, however.
