BAA names Peat to run six UK airports
Ferrovial-owned airports operator BAA has named Stephen Peat as managing director for its new airports division, a role in which he will be responsible for running its six other UK airports other than London Heathrow.
Peat is currently director of operations for the Tube Lines consortium, which is regenerating the Jubilee, Northern and Piccadilly lines on behalf of London Underground.
As head of the airports division he will be responsible for running the London airports of Gatwick and Stansted, the Scottish airports of Aberdeen, Edinburgh and Glasgow, and UK south coast airport Southampton.
He becomes the second recent appointment from the sector to join BAA, after London Underground executive Mike Brown was last month named as managing director of London Heathrow
