Avion irritated by Icelandair A330F withdrawal

Icelandic leasing company Avion Aircraft Trading claims it has other prospective customers for the Airbus A330-200 freighters which it had originally intended to sell to Icelandair Group.

Icelandair Group has abandoned plans to acquire four A330F aircraft from Avion which would have been used by its Icelandair Cargo division.

Avion Aircraft Trading chairman Hafthor Hafsteinsson tells ATI: “We do have alternative clients for our A330Fs so we will simply concentrate on those, and we are not too worried about it.”

But Hafsteinsson admits to being frustrated by Icelandair Group’s sudden reversal.
