An ATR 42-300 operated by Venezuela’s Santa Barbara Airlines has reportedly gone missing while on a domestic flight.

Venezuela’s Globovision television cites local civil aviation authorities as saying the turboprop was operating as flight 518 between Merida and Caracas when it went missing.

It says the aircraft was carrying 43 passengers and three crewmembers. Search and rescue operations are currently underway.
