Get up early … nab a bargain flight to Germany on Friday, 21 October

Airberlin is to hold a one-day sale on flights to Germany tomorrow – Friday, 21 October.

The weekend special is available for one day only and includes flights from London Gatwick to Nuremberg or London Stansted to Dusseldorf for £90 return, including taxes and charges.

Nuremberg is an ancient city in the state of Bavaria on the Rhine-Main-Danube Canal. The city has much to offer the discerning traveller. Nuremberg Castle towers over the city and culture vultures may be interested in checking out the Nuremberg State Theatre, the Nuremberg Philharmonic and the Nuremberg Symphony Orchestra.

Dusseldorf is an important business and industrial centre in the heart of the Rhine-Rhur region. It is a big city, with lots to see, including many museums, shops and restaurants.

Unlike many budget airlines, airberlin offers allocated seating, a 20kg baggage allowance and a complimentary in-flight service. There’s even an airberlin chocolate heart for passengers. To add to the service, passengers also receive complimentary newspapers and magazines and frequent-flyer points.

The discount fares are available for travel from 18 November to 11 March 2012.

In 2010, airberlin carried 33.6 million passengers. The airline primarily flies to popular holiday destinations in Europe, such as Ibiza and Alicante, as well as “city shuttle” routes linking London and Manchester to Germany. It also operates codeshare flights with oneworld members such as American Airlines, British Airways, Finnair, Iberia and S7.

As part of its codeshare agreement with BA direct flights to Nuremburg, Munster and Paderborn are available via BA’s website. Passengers of BA are able to access Air Berlin’s European network.
