Air India’s low-cost subsidiary Air India Express is planning to launch services to Bangladesh and Kuwait and is looking to serve Dubai from more Indian cities.

The carrier says in a statement to mark the third anniversary of its 29 April 2005 launch that it plans to serve Kuwait from Ahmedabad, Kerala and Mangalore, as well as the Bangladeshi capital Dhaka from Kolkata. It does not currently serve Dhaka or Kuwait but both have been under consideration for flights for some time.

Air India Express also says it plans to serve Dubai in the UAE from four more Indian cities, namely Ahmedabad, Goa, Hyderabad and Pune. It already serves Dubai from many other Indian cities.

The carrier does not say when it plans to launch the new services, although they are expected to be added as it takes delivery of new aircraft over the next 18 months.
