Northwest 747 makes precautionary landing in Tokyo

Northwest pilots crewing a Boeing 747-400 opted to return to Tokyo’s Narita airport earlier today for a precautionary landing after detecting an electrical odor onboard the aircraft.
The plane, carrying 403 passengers, was on a scheduled flight from Tokyo to Manila.
A spokesman for Northwest says the plane landed without incident.
